The Goldsmith Metropolitan District (the “District”) will be constructing a new well and irrigation water infrastructure near the intersection of Ulster Street and Belleview Avenue. This project is necessary to maintain a reliable supply of irrigation water for the Denver Tech Center (DTC). The map above shows the location of the new well (red pin), and the blue circle reflects a boundary of 700 feet from the well location.
The project is expected to begin mid-October and drilling activities will take place 24 hours a day for a period of up to three weeks. To minimize potential noise impact from the drilling operations, the District will be installing temporary sound walls around the well site. The District has conducted sound studies and designed the sound walls to minimize the noise impact of the construction to the surrounding area.
As a part of the project, the District is seeking approval from the Denver Department of Public Health & Environment (“DDPHE”) to allow for the overnight drilling. The meeting for the variance request will be held on October 13th at 5:30 PM. DDPHE is conducting the meeting via Zoom. Interested parties can learn more about the meeting by visiting https://www.denvergov.org/Government/Agencies-Departments-Offices/Agencies-Departments-Offices-Directory/Public-Health-Environment/About-Us/Board-of-Public-Health-Environment.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as the District works to maintain and enhance the infrastructure within the Denver Tech Center. For questions or concerns, please contact the Goldsmith Metropolitan District at 303-773-1700 or at email@example.com.
